Grace Chapel Assembly of God is dedicated to following after Jesus Christ. It is our desire to share the news that goodness exists only in God through His Son, Jesus Christ. The way of life we call ‘Christian’ is filled with truth and, therefore, meaningful. It is a lifestyle of joy, peace, and victory.
Grace Chapel Assembly of God is a Spirit filled family church. We believe that the best way to live is through following after Christ with every bit of our lives. Impassioned to love Christ Jesus with all our hearts and souls, we believe that our church exists to magnify God, edify one another in Christ to maturity, produce strong Christian citizens, and spread the news of a resurrected Christ to the world.
Grace Chapel is a church that was literally cut out of the woods. The first services were held under the leadership of Rev. Nolan Akers and his wife Janice. Under their leadership the church grew out of the building in the woods and moved into the current location on FM 2978 in Magnolia, TX. In 2004 Rev. Akers retired and the church continued to ministry under the leadership of Pastor Mark Gardner. Pastor Mark served as an assistant pastor here for many years, has a background in education, is an officer in the Army Reserves, and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
What to expect…
At our church you can expect to be greeted and accepted warmly by our congregation. Our services have approximately 75 people present and value that ‘small’ church feeling. Worship is a blend of hymns and contemporary songs with piano, guitar, drums, and woodwinds accompaniment. As a “Spirit-filled” church you will see expressions of worship consistent with the first worshippers from King David to the new churches after the day of Pentecost. Through the ministry of the Word (preaching) our pastors offer the encouragement, instruction, and edification to follow after the example of Christ.

ChurchMinistries
In Children's Church your children will be able to experience the love of Christ through our teachers and activities that keep them going while you are enjoying adult service. A few treats we have for our children include puppets, praise song and dance, special speakers, and a whole lot of fun!
Children's Church is available at the 10:30 am service right after adult worship.
Ages inlcude infants -10 year olds.
We have a nursery also available from newborns to infants.
Girls & Boys Clubs
Meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm.
Children are separated into ages where they are able to learn with their peers about the love of Christ, as well as character building, and lifestyle skills.
We are Forged! We are a youth group dedicated to knowing and following Jesus Christ in a personal and life changing way. Our passion is to see the youth of Houston come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We have service every Sunday night at 6:30 in the big sanctuary. Please join us for games, fun, worship, and a youth pastor that is passionate about God.

Women's Ministries
We emphasize the unlimited opportunities open to women for ministry in their local churches and communities. Every woman should be ministered to according to her need, and every born-again woman should be encouraged to find her place of ministry within the body of Christ.
Blacksmith Shop [Men's Ministries]
As "iron sharpens iron", so does the fellowship of Godly men to strengthen one another. Blacksmith Shop meets once a month to enjoy breakfast with one another with the current study "Wild at Heart".

Im so pleased that youre visiting our church and our ministry sites. I am the Lead Pastor of a marvelous ministry staff, dedicated workers, and congregation. Grace Chapel has been my place of worship and service for more than 20 years now with only the past 6 as the Lead Pastor. This is a wonderful church filled with wonderful people. Although I am a full-time minister now, I have a background in public education and military service. God has a way of uniquely equipping each of us to serve Jesus Christ. Thank you for taking time to browse through our website! I am a bi-vocational Assistant Pastor at Grace Chapel while also working as a Special Education teacher at Magnolia Junior High School. I minister in several capacities; Holistic Christian Counseling, Childrens Ministries, Discipleship/Mentor of leaders, teaching Adult Sunday School class, and participating in teaching various forms of Theological studies. My educational experience includes a a year at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Southeastern Louisiana University, Masters Degree in Church Ministries from Asia Pacific Theological Seminary, and an Alternative Teaching Certification from Lonestar Community College at Montgomery in Texas. I am passionate about the work of the local church to reach people with the Gospel and encourage believers on towards maturity! I have been serving on the ministry team at Grace Chapel for 8 ½ years and cannot imagine being any other place! You may ask yourself what makes Grace Chapel different from other churches and with confidence I can say it is the people! Our church is filled with believers that love, accept, and genuinely support folks as they mature in their service of Jesus Christ. Hey Guys I'm Pastor Austin the associate/youth pastor here at Grace Chapel. Let me tell you that I am so excited to see what God is doing at Grace Chapel and in the Youth of Forged! I am so excited to see what God has planned for the future and I love knowing that I can give back just a small portion to the God who has given me everything. I love being able to participate in ministry as an associate/youth pastor because I get to see all areas of ministry, and I love being able to help in any way I can. The youth has always been a passion of mine because I know that after high school the amount of people coming to know Christ dramatically falls. The youth of Houston must begin to find God, to have purpose and a reason for living. I hope to be able to help give them some knowledge on knowing a life changing God. A little about me, I love to play video games, snowboard, hunt, fish, laugh, and do anything involving adrenaline so you know if you come to our youth you're going to have fun.
